Back in 2019 irshad Ahmad haji was distraught with financial distress and saw no hope securing a govt job. Only then did he decide to be his own boss and be an employer rather than employed. He started to look for some means. In this process he came across various schemes of different departments, however little did he know his financial freedom will usher through an investment in sheep farming.
Only at a leagues distance from his home, district sheep husbandry office provided him with a solution.  Consequently, he established a hundred ewe’s unit in the June of 2019.
The progress chart of his farm runs as follows
Initial investment: 10 Lakh
Subsidy@ 25%: 2.5 Lakh
Net investment: 7.5 Lakh
Livestock strength: 105
After 2 years
Livestock strength: 160
Livestock sold: 90
Net profit earned: 7 Lakh
Having started with no experience, haji with his youthful passion learnt to run his farm on scientific lines and hardly after two years into sheep farming, he succeeded not only in doubling his livestock but repaid his loan as well.
“Earlier, I was sceptical whether or not this thing will work, but now I think I would not only make a living, but make a fortune rearing sheep”, he said with air of optimism.
