Training of Unemployed educated youth under "Development of cluster  Tribal model  villages  SCA To TSS "in the art of machine sheep shearing at Feeding center, Kunan, Bandipora. Twenty one  selected youths are being trained in the activity to make them self-employed.

Shearing test of Tribal youth selected under 𝗖𝗦𝗦 - 𝗦𝗖𝗔 𝗧𝗼 𝗧𝗦𝗦  was today held at DSHO office, Bandipora. The trainees showed a lot of promise  &  hopefully in days to come with the support of the Department they will  become self-employed & boost   their livelihood. There are 65 million sheep in India according to the 19th Livestock Census. Presently 80% of the sheep population is shorn by hand scissors. The activity is highly popular among the sheep farmer's of the valley & during peak season there is a huge demand.
